Today is the last day of February and there is an extra day because the Dragon year ruler presides over a leap year. It’s a leap day with the Monkey. Could there be a more fun creature to leap with?
You are unsure of the wisdom of other people’s plans, yet you don’t want to call things to a complete halt. Ask them to explain what they are trying to do and how they are going to go about it. You might come to understand that they know certain things that you don’t and maybe they are best left to carry on in their own way.
You might sense that your intuition is especially clear today. You could gain an overnight insight into how to deal with what has seemed to be an impossible dilemma until now. Do not be afraid to talk about your inspired solution. You might find that by bouncing your idea off others you could come up with something even more brilliant.
Normally you like to discuss things frankly. Today, when you are being direct, you could easily be misunderstood. There are certain things that need to be said. There are certain things that can be left unsaid without changing the meaning of the message. Say what needs to be said. There is no need to get carried away and say what does not need to be said.
You might want to think about what are the most important priorities for you at the moment. Recent events might have caused some shifts in certain areas of your life and you might realise that there are some things you have been doing, which will seem to be a waste of time if you carry on. Those things were the right things to do in the past, but do not need to be continued into the future.
No matter how challenging a situation you find yourself in today, you need to borrow the sense of humour of the Monkey and see the funny side. Does this mean you are dealing with a laughing matter? Not at all, it does mean that you need to stop taking yourself quite so seriously. When you step a little lighter you can find you are far more nimble.
Stop taking others’ comments as being criticism. They might not be saying things exactly as you see them, but that does not necessarily mean they are condemning your thoughts or actions. Listen carefully, for they might not be criticising you at all. They are simply seeing things from a different perspective. Don’t be too quick to jump to your own conclusions.
It might seem inevitable that certain arrangements which worked in the past are now no longer working in the way they should. If it’s time for you to let go and move on then your Horse personality is quick to leave behind the old and trot into something new. Others might be a bit more resistant to change. Let them know that the past is important, but it doesn’t make sense for it to carry on into the future.
You know there are certain areas of your life that are not in a state that you are entirely happy about. Whilst it’s easy to feel disenchanted and to believe that this is somehow your fate, you know you can improve your own luck. Decide what changes you can make for the better. Decide that you are going to follow through on them and stick to your decision.
You might think it was a mistake, to let somebody else do something you were going to do yourself. That might not be entirely the case. It could very much be the case that they did things differently because that’s what the situation now calls for. Besides, you know you cannot be in two places at once. Trust that each person was doing the right thing.
Something which you thought was done and dusted now seems to require more of your time and attention. Could it be the case that in applying a short-term fix there were still some longer-term issues beneath the surface? Be patient and be prepared to tackle things for as long as it is necessary.
Your sensitive nature could help somebody understand a bit better why they feel the way they do. If somebody comes to cry on your shoulder, be ready with a sympathetic ear and a box of tissues. In helping someone else improve their self-awareness you might learn something about yourself in the process.
You might have found that you have been charging ahead in a situation which is now reversing. Although you can quickly do a one-hundred-and-eighty degree turn and go back, pause for a moment to see if you need to. See if you can get a sense of whether it’s a temporary shift or something more permanent before you make your next move.
